Women with Wet Underwear Must Care Pelvic Inflammatory Disease

Leukorrhea is a normal vaginal secretion. The amount of leukorrhea will follow the physiological cycle and change. Some women's vaginal secretion is extensive, just a few hours panties wet, or even need to change 3 to 4 panties a day. What is going on?

What's wrong with women's underwear always being wet?

Pelvic inflammation is a group of diseases in the pelvis, including pelvic peritonitis, endometritis, and tubal inflammation. There are no symptoms or just pain in the lower abdomen and increased vaginal discharge in mild cases. In severe cases, they may be accompanied by urinary symptoms or fever. When symptoms of pelvic inflammatory disease are present, a diagnosis should be made in the hospital. Once diagnosed, treatment is based on antibiotics, and the antibiotics should be used in sufficient quantity and the entire course without interruption.

For the treatment of acute pelvic inflammatory disease, the incidence of sequelae increases with untimely therapy because of the variety of pathogenic bacteria in pelvic inflammatory disease. The treatment of acute pelvic inflammatory disease is based on broad-spectrum antibiotics and a combination of drugs, administered within 48 hours and individualized according to the condition and drug sensitivity. Outpatient treatment can be chosen for mild cases. Those with severe diseases need to be treated in hospitals. Surgical treatment may be required for inflammatory masses that are not satisfactorily treated with antibiotics.

More symptomatic treatment is needed for chronic pelvic inflammatory disease, or medication such as the herbal medicine Fuyan Pill is given. Fuyan Pill has solid bactericidal power, killing the bacteria in the pelvic cavity and achieving anti-inflammatory and sterilization. Patients can also add pelvic physical therapy and other comprehensive treatment. For some patients, surgery may be required, such as hydrocele in the fallopian tube. Assisted reproductive technology may be necessary for those who have fertility requirements.

2. Vaginitis

Because of the unique anatomy of women, vaginitis is very common and recurs quickly. The common types of vaginitis are mycosis, trichomoniasis, and bacterial vaginitis. Bacterial vaginitis discharge is white, uniform, and smells fishy; trichomoniasis discharge is thin, purulent, and foamy; mycobacterial vaginitis discharge is white and bean curd-like.

Suppose women observe the leukorrhea and find that the leukorrhea's texture, amount, and color have changed. In that case, they should go to the hospital to have the discharge examined and decide on the treatment plan based on the examination results.

3. Cervicitis

The primary manifestation of cervicitis is increased vaginal discharge, sometimes just leucorrhea with a yellowish color. Patients with chronic cervicitis do not need to worry too much because there are no HPV and TCT examinations abnormalities. They can go to the hospital for regular review.

Acute cervicitis is an acute inflammation caused by physical, chemical, or mechanical injury and pathogenic invasion. The patient needs to be treated with antibiotics in sufficient quantity and duration according to the pathogenic organism. If the pathogen is gonorrhea or Chlamydia trachomatis, the sexual partner should also be treated.

4. Cervical lesions

When cervical lesions occur, such as cervical polyps, cervical intraepithelial neoplasia, and cervical cancer, the secretion from the cervical glands increases or becomes abnormal, leading to increased vaginal discharge. Cervical intraepithelial neoplasia needs to be prevented by going to the hospital regularly for HPV and TCT screening to achieve early detection and treatment.

5. Uterus and fallopian tube lesions

When suffering from uterine diseases such as endometrial polyp, endometrial cancer, and endometrial hyperplasia, it will cause endometrial glandular hyperplasia, increasing the area of the uterine cavity, increase vaginal discharge, and abnormal vaginal fluid discharge.

Warm Tips

When vaginal discharge suddenly increases, there is no need to worry too much, first observe yourself to see if you have other symptoms. Then go to a regular hospital for vaginal discharge, HPV, gynecological ultrasound, and TCT examination to identify the cause and then give targeted treatment.
