Frothy and yellow-green vaginal discharge

Patients always have increased vaginal secretions. And this is often accompanied by itching in the vagina and vulva, and discomfort during sex and urination.  

Predict: trichomonas infection

Thin, grayish-white vaginal discharge

This kind of secretions is always thin, with a fishy smell and grayish-white color. 

Predict: bacterial vaginitis

Yellow and watery vaginal discharge

The secretion is yellow in color, with a large amount. And it is as clear as water. In addition, it has an unpleasant odor. 

Predict: cervial cancer, submucosal myoma of uterus

Tofe-like vaginal discharge

During the secretions, there are white lumps which are similar to tofu. Sometimes the white material will adhere to the vaginal wall, difficult to take off. This is often accompanied by extremely vaginal itching.    

Predict: colpitis mycotica

Purulent discharge

The secretions are yellow or green, with an unpleasant odor. That is caused by the infection in reproductive organs. Stimulated by the inflammatory exudate, pus cells, necrotic epithelium, and bacteria, the vaginal discharge will appear the above mentioned changes. 

Predict: trichomonas infection, chronic cervicitis or endometritis

Bloody discharge

There is blood in the vaginal discharge 

Predict: malignant tumors such as cervical cancer and uterine corpus cancer; benign diseases like cervical polyp, submucous myoma, severe chronic cervicitis; side effects caused by intrauterine device.

Decreased vaginal discharge

If the vaginal discharge greatly reduces, patients may experience vaginal dryness, burning and pain, loss of libido, sexual discomfort, dizziness, irritability, etc. 

Predict: Patients may have ovarian dysfunction or some chronic diseases.

Diseases can be characterized by vaginal discharge. Though sometimes, it’s only ailment like vaginitis, if left untreated, it can bring more serious disease like cervicitis, pelvic inflammatory disease and annexitis (most of these diseases can be cured by fuyan pill, a herbal medicine). So for the sake of health, females may as well notice the secretions. Once having discomfort, women can make a self-test according to the above information. However, to get an accurate diagnosis, consulting a doctor is necessary.
