German Federal Ministry: Chlamydia Infection Increases the Rate of Ovarian Cancer
Recently, an international research team funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research has found that common Chlamydia infections cannot be ignored because they may induce mutations in fallopian tube cells and thus increase the risk of ovarian cancer.
Chlamydia is a kind of microorganism, which can reproduce in cells and cause many diseases. Sexual transmission is the major route of transmission, which may cause serious consequences, including infertility. In the case of infection, chlamydia can spread from the vagina through the uterus to the fallopian tube and cause infections there.
Ovarian cancer often originates in the fallopian tube, and cancer cells often spread from the fallopian tube to the abdomen and ovary. To clarify the relationship between Chlamydia infection and ovarian cancer, the researchers used the relevant infection model to analyze. The results showed that Chlamydia could cause a permanent change in the gene of fallopian tube cells, and no longer encode a protein that helps to inhibit tumorigenesis.
"We have found many features that are critical for cancer development in cells infected with Chlamydia." Thomas Mayer, a professor at the Max Planck Institute of Infectious Biology in Germany, who participated in the study, said that inflammation during chronic chlamydia infection may further promote tumorigenesis.
At present, researchers are trying to further confirm the association between Chlamydia infection and ovarian cancer through genetic analysis and other means. Mayer said that people now underestimate the harm of Chlamydia infection, if we can find conclusive evidence of Chlamydia infection associated with ovarian cancer, it will be helpful to develop related vaccines and therapeutic drugs.
Although the exact link between Chlamydia infection and ovarian cancer has not yet been confirmed, patients should not let down the guard. Chlamydia infection can also lead to pelvic inflammation, urethritis, cervicitis, and other diseases, so positive treatment is very necessary.
For the treatment of chlamydia, besides conventional antibiotics, patients can also use common natural medicine Fuyan Pill. The efficacy of heat-clearing, detoxification, sterilization and anti-inflammation of natural herbs in the prescription can be comparable to that of broad-spectrum antibiotics, and it will not produce any drug resistance and side effects, and can completely kill all kinds of bacteria, viruses, and pathogens, turning Chlamydia negative, but also can enhance the immune function of patients.
