Endometritis is an inflammatory change of endometrial structure caused by various reasons. Bacteria can reach the endometrium along vagina, cervix or fallopian tube, and through lymphatic system. 

 

Usually the uterine cavity has good drainage and periodic endometrial exfoliation, so that inflammation rarely has a chance to stay in the endometrium for a long time, but if the acute stage of inflammation treatment is not complete, or there is a source of infection, then inflammation may recur, serious cases can affect the myometrium, which becomes myositis.

Patients can be treated by intrauterine administration, which is an effective method for married women. After vulvovaginal disinfection and detection of the depth of the uterine cavity, a sterilized catheter is sent into the uterine cavity from the opening of the uterus to less than 0.5 cm depth of it.
