Pelvic fluid: cause, symptoms, tests, and treatment

Normally, pelvic fluid is regarded as a type of pelvic inflammatory despite that pelvic fluid is divided into two parts including physiologic and pathologic fluid, as for former one, no need to cure this type if you have no fertility requirements, but for the latter one, the treatments are very essential in the views of an experienced doctor. Before your doctor give you some advise, you may as well have a good knowledge of pelvic fluid such as causes, symptoms, tests and treatment.

Cause:

1. Do not pay attention to the personal hygiene during periods.

For most women, there will be heavy bleeding during period compared to your usual life. Moreover, the permeability and ventilation are poor, which provides an opportunity for pathogenic bacteria to go into the female reproductive organs and easily lead to pelvic inflammation disease. One infected, pelvic fluid will follow.

2. Surgical infection

Gynecologic surgery such as caesarean birth, abortion, even regular gynecologic checks-ups may contribute to infection, thus, pelvic inflammation disease will appear if lacking of nursing after surgery.

3. The spread of inflammation of adjacent organs

As you can see; the female reproductive system links closely, which means the inflammation will spread fast without treating in time. Normally, salpingitis, endometritis, and cervicitis all can be the primary factors.

Symptoms:

Pain in your lower abdomen and pelvis;

Irregular menstrual bleeding;

Pain during intercourse;

Painful urination;

Infertility

Tests:

If your doctor suspects pelvic fluid, he or she may order some test, including blood test (to analyze blood for the evidence of infection), ultrasound (to view the reproductive organs), if necessary, laparoscopy will be allowed to use for testing the internal reproductive organs. Generally speaking, those tests will help your doctor find the obvious evidence of inflection.

Treatment:

See your doctor as soon as possible even though your signs and symptoms are not severe at all, you know, painful urination or bleeding between menstrual cycles can be associated with a sexually transmitted inflection. Therefore, you may need to take effective measures, including medicine and surgery.

As for western medicine, your doctor may advice you to take anti-inflammatory drugs or other hormone. For traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), however, doctors are more likely to solve the problem using the traditional way, namely herbal medicine like fuyan pill. Fuyan pill has the functions of eliminating inflammation, killing bacteria, clearing heat and promoting blood circulation, thus working to pelvic fluid effectively.

As you can see, medicine can not be the only approach for you to choose and surgery will be the alternative way to cure the disease. In these types of surgeries the nerves which provide sensation to the organs in the pelvis are removed or destroyed. In the hands of an experienced surgeon, those procedures can be effective in eliminating pain. In a word, the treatment you may take will depend on the degree of your disease.
