What can an abdominal adhesion woman do to get pregnant?

An adhesion is a type of scar tissue or fibrin bands that found in the abdominal cavity after surgery or injury to the area. Adhesions can form between internal organs and tissues, even if those tissues are not normally attached to each other. The abdominal adhesion is the one of the common abdomen surgical problems, which always caused by abdominal surgery or an injury. The pathogenic sites of abdominal adhesion are including subphrenic areas, pelvic organs and intestinal tissues. Adhesions may also impair fertility in women by causing blockage of the fallopian tubes or pelvic inflammation. It has been estimated that at least one-third of women who suffer from pelvic pain have adhesions as a cause of or contributor to the pain. Adhesions involving the ovaries or fallopian tubes are responsible for 15-20 percent of female infertility cases.

To prevent adhesion formation, surgeons may now apply a fine fabric barrier to surround the organs, thus isolating them from the scar tissue strands. Although adhesions can be removed by surgical intervention (adhesiolysis) using a laparoscopic technique, recent studies suggested that such surgery produces limited benefits that are often short-term. Many patients are treated with multiple adhesiolysis  procedures in an attempt to improve the symptoms of adhesions. Most times, adhesions cause few, if any, notable effects. But, for those who do suffer from their adverse effects, the question arises as to what they can do to get pregnant?

IVF is usually the treatment of choice for a woman with abdominal adhesion, blocked, severely damaged, or no Fallopian tubes. However, IVF is a costly procedure that, in many cases, is not covered by health insurance plans. Moreover, the success rate for IVF depends on the woman's age. Besides, studies have found a slightly increased risk of genetic disorders in children. Some or most of this increased risk is due to the fact that a greater proportion of IVF pregnancies involve multiple gestations. These factors raised another question: Is there any better ways can help the female patients to get pregnant without surgery?

The problem of developing abdominal adhesions is noted in the Chinese medical literature. Chinese medicine has been applied both to prevention of adhesions and to their treatment when they cause tube blockage or pelvic inflammatory disease (PID). The preventive measure involves relatively immediate post-surgical intervention. Fuyan Pill is one of the most common used medicines to prevent and cure both the abdominal adhesions and the secondary diseases, such as PID and tubal obstruction. Because its great performances in anti-inflammatory, promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, after six month treatments by Fuyan Pill, the abdominal adhesion woman could be pregnant again.
