Can Women Get Blocked Fallopian Tubes from Chlamydia?
Blocked fallopian tubes are a common cause of infertility. It can be divided into primary and secondary types. The so-called primary blocked fallopian tubes, which means it is congenital, and this condition is very rare, while the secondary blocked fallopian tubes are normally caused by postnatal factors, such as some infectious diseases.

The most common cause of blocked fallopian tubes is pathological obstruction. Most of the pathological changes are caused by fallopian tube lesions. For example, when chlamydia stimulates the fallopian tube, and there will be inflammatory changes in the tubes, which are manifested in hyperplasia and fibrosis of connective tissue between the fallopian tube walls, thickening, and hardening of the tube wall, thickening of the tube body, and blockage of the lumen.

Most fallopian tube diseases are secondary to an infection, especially pelvic inflammatory disease (PID). Other possible causes of infection include perforation of the appendix, infection after miscarriage, or postoperative complications, such as endometriosis and inflammation. Rarely, the absence of an embryogenic fallopian tube is a factor of infertility. What’more, the cause may also be iatrogenic, such as tubal ligation.

Although PID may be caused by a variety of microorganisms, chlamydia is the main cause. Chlamydia is a kind of microorganism between bacteria and viruses, and it is a new infection group. This infection can be transmitted through sexual intercourse, abortion, which is also one of the main causes of female infertility.

In recent years, the incidence of infertility caused by Salpingitis due to chlamydia trachomatis has increased significantly. The prevention and treatment of reproductive tract infections are very important for infertility. Before the application of the antibacterial treatment, the damage to the fallopian tube may have existed.

Sometimes the infection may be subclinical type, and it has existed for several months before diagnosis and treatment, which is obviously compared with the acute attack of PID caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae. Now it is highly suspected that Chlamydia infection damages the mucous membrane of the fallopian tube through an immunopathological mechanism.

In addition, a study found that in 152 cases of infertility (69 cases of primary infertility and 83 cases of secondary infertility), the positive rate of UU and CT and the proportion of patients with infection were significantly higher than those with blocked fallopian tubes, indicating that UU and CT infection played an important role in the pathogenesis of tubal infertility.

Attention

Chlamydia stimulates the fallopian tube and causes the deformation of the fallopian tube. Even if chlamydia has turned negative after antibiotic treatment, it is difficult for the blocked fallopian tube to restore normal function.

Naturally, ectopic pregnancy and infertility may occur. Therefore, during the treatment, patients should also be targeted treatment of blocked fallopian tubes at the same time.

Fuyan Pill, a traditional Chinese medicine with the functions of promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory, can not only effectively kill pathogenic bacteria, but also turn chlamydia and mycoplasma negative, effectively dredge the fallopian tube, and also help patients regulate the internal environment, balance Qi and blood, and improve immunity.
