What Are The Harms of Enema on Treating Blocked Fallopian Tubes?

The fallopian tubes are one of the essential components of the female reproductive organs and a necessary channel for sperm and egg binding. If there is a blockage in this area, it is likely to affect women’ s fertility, and it is needed to carry out standardized and effective treatment on time.

Enema is a special treatment. The drug is absorbed by the rectal mucosa and can enter the lesion site directly, promoting local blood circulation and the disappearance of inflammation. In the treatment of blocked fallopian tubes, herbal enema has a specific effect.

What are the harms of treating blocked fallopian tubes with enemas? These harms are mainly manifested in the following aspects:

1. Bacterial infection

The sterile technique of herbal enema is poor. Generally, an infusion tube is used for herbal enemas, and the line is inserted into the deeper part of the rectum. If there is no strict sterilization during the operation, it will lead to bacterial infection or cause other inflammations.

2. Stimulates the gastrointestinal tract

Long-term enema can easily stimulate the gastrointestinal tract; patients will have abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, or other digestive tract diseases. Long-term enema will weaken the peristalsis ability of the gastrointestinal tract, and excessive gastric acid secretion will stimulate the gastric mucosa. Stomach ulcer symptoms can also occur in severe cases.

After stomach ulcers appear, many people have obvious epigastric pain, which is mostly burning pain, dull ache, swelling pain, and severe pain. The pain usually occurs 2-4 hours after a meal and is accompanied by loss of appetite, hiccups, and acid reflux.

3. Irritable bowel syndrome is present.

Enema can treat constipation, but long-term use can quickly decline the body's ability to defecate. Failure to have a regular bowel movement can easily lead to irritable bowel syndrome. Patients will experience abdominal pain and discomfort, predominantly in the lower abdomen and left lower quadrant, with recurrent episodes of diarrhea and constipation.

When performing an enema to treat tubal disease, it is necessary to judge the specific treatment effect based on the particular condition of the fallopian tubes and the patient's sensitivity to the drug. Enema can be selected for treatment in female patients with acute salpingitis, pelvic inflammatory, adnexitis, and other diseases. If the patient is sensitive to the medicine, most patients can achieve good treatment results. But if the patients have chronic salpingitis, especially when the fallopian tube adhesions, fallopian tube blockage, hydrosalpinx, and other conditions occur, they will not be sensitive to the drug and the treatment effect will be poor.

Although inflammation of the fallopian tubes is relieved to some extent by an enema, this is an adjunctive treatment. And not all tubal blockages are suitable for enemas, and detailed examinations are required to determine the condition before choosing the appropriate treatment.

Treatment of tubal blockage is more recommended by using the herbal medicine Fuyan Pill, which has no side effects and can eliminate inflammation, activate blood stasis, and unclog fallopian tubes. Most importantly, it can improve the chances of conceiving naturally.

If the tubal obstruction is severe and drug therapy is ineffective, a combination of hysteroscopic surgery can be used to identify the site of the block and unclog tubes.

The above is an introduction to the dangers of enema on fallopian tube blockage. Hoping that all patients can choose the proper treatment and recover as soon as possible!
