Endometriosis is a female disease that affects more than 176 million women in the world, and one in ten is in the U.S, according to the research. What is endoemetriosis?
Endometriosis means that the lining of the uterus, which is also called endometrium, grows outside of the uterus. Painful periods: this usually starts in a few days before the menstrual period, and it will last for the whole process of the period. In common, it is severer than the normal menstruation.
Painful sex: the pain will last a few hours between and after period.
Pain in the lower abdomen or in the pelvic area: sometimes the pain is constant and commonly it is much more severe before or during period.
Bleeding during period: unlike normal period, this will have more bloods.
Infertility: this may be the clumps caused by endometriosis which make egg and sperm difficult to meet.
