Different Causes of Fallopian Tube Pain You Should Understand

The fallopian tubes are ducts that link a woman’s ovaries to her uterus, which act as a channel through which an egg passes into the uterus during ovulation. Fallopian tube pain can be uncomfortable and even frightening which often registers as common pelvic pain. So what are the different causes of fallopian tube pain?

Different Causes of Fallopian Tube Pain

1. Sexually Transmitted Infection
Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) is a common cause of fallopian tube pain, such as Chlamydia and gonorrhea. The fallopian tubes can be infected by the bacteria that cause these conditions. By this means, the tissue which lines them will become scarred. This scar tissue can cause the tubes to become blocked in turn and lead to pain and even fertility problems. Thus, it’s suggested to accept treatments as soon as possible, usually antibiotics and herbal medicine like Fuyan Pill, for people with STI to avoid fallopian tube pain.

2. Endometriosis
Endometriosis may also contribute to fallopian tube pain. This condition arises when various parts of the reproductive system develop an abnormal layer of tissue during the menstrual cycle, often including the fallopian tubes. The tissue will begin to build up and cause scarring, blockage, or pain in the areas it affects. There are a number of treatments available for endometriosis. They include surgery to remove the endometrial tissue, pain medications, drugs that affect the hormonal system, herbal medicine of Fuyan Pill, and hysterectomy.

3. Ectopic Pregnancy
Ectopic pregnancy is another potential cause of fallopian tube pain. In this condition, a fertilized egg will not become implanted in the uterine wall, but implant in the fallopian tubes or another part of the reproductive system instead. One of the most common symptoms of this condition is sharp pelvic pain. An ectopic pregnancy will be developed due to the fallopian tubes have been damaged either by an infection such as PID or by a condition like endometriosis.

4. Tubal Torsion
Tubal Torsion is also a condition but very rare that can cause fallopian tube pain. One of the fallopian tubes is twisted in this condition, which is often very painful. This can result in a diminished blood flow to the structure. This condition can be caused by a physical abnormality of the reproductive structures or physical trauma like a car accident. Surgical treatment is usually required for tubal torsion.

After understanding the different causes of fallopian tube pain, one can take measures and treatments timely to avoid such a condition. Hope each female can live in a healthy status!
