What pathogen that causes the cervicitis decides whether it is contagious or not

Cervicitis, which is a frequent gynecological disease, might occur after surgery, miscarriage procedure, or unhealthy genital hygiene. Once there is cervicitis, women begin to worry, as is this infection contagious, as what treatment is effective and so on. Actually, no worries need to be concerned. Whether the cervicitis contagious or not depends on what pathogen women have.

Lots of pathogens can give cervicitis to women like chlamydia, mycoplasma, gonorrhea, staphylococcus, streptococcus, escherichia coli, anaerobion, trichomonad or dictyostelium discoideum. Among all these pathogens, some are contagious but some are not. Generally, only chlamydia, mycoplasma, or gonorrhea caused cervicitis has the ability of transmitting.

Tests can be done if patients have no idea what pathogen brings the cervicitis to them. Take the gonorrhea for example. Vaginal discharge analysis should be done in lab. Once the pathogens are one or two or three of them mentioned above, protection should be prepared because these pathogens can spread silently through sex. Therefore, emphasis should be put on protection or curing after infection.

Damages on women caused by cervicitis that are familiar to women need to be cured timely and properly. Clinically, treatment options of this condition are various, such as surgery, pharmacotherapy, and physical therapy.

To be specific, treatment should be chosen based on their own conditions. If they choose western medicine, potassium permanganate water is good choice and it is effective. If they choose herbal medicine, Fuyan pill would be better owning to the herbs the doctor added. Generally speaking, all improvement can be noticed after one month’s treatment with Fuyan pill and toxic materials can be eliminated within around three months.

If the cervicitis is severe that cannot be cured by only medicines, surgery should involve in. but no matter what treatment patients opt, the best can only be the one that is able to exterminate the cervicitis.

Whether the cervicitis contagious or not depends on what kind of pathogen victims have and cervicitis should be paid attention to if chlamydia, mycoplasma, or gonorrhea emerges.
